CALIFORNIA - Two Riverside County sheriff's deputies with a combined 55 years of service between them have been promoted -- one to a jail management position and the other to oversee correctional and court security personnel -- it was announced. Riverside County Sheriff Stanley Sniff promoted Lt. Mark Barfknecht to captain and appointed him commander of the Indio Jail, and announced that Chief Deputy William "Bill" Di Yorio will be the assistant sheriff for the department's corrections and court services divisions.
