| Officers to be paid to play in games |

FLORIDA - A controversial pay dispute at the Orange County jail is over. Corrections officers now get paid for time spent playing in police and fire games. In a June 11th email, administrators promised up to three days of paid leave for anyone participating. One day after Eyewitness News started asking questions, a second email went out saying no employee would be paid even though the games had already begun. "When we got down there we had already booked a hotel. You had to give 24 hours notice in order to get out of it, which we couldn't do because we were already down there," said an unidentified participant. Read more.
