DELAWARE - A day after gubernatorial candidates roundly criticized prison health care, Charlie Copeland, the Republican candidate for lieutenant governor, weighed in Thursday with his disapproval of the condition of state prisons and called for reforms in the wake of a recently released report. "The Executive Branch has ignored this problem for too long," Copeland said. "The lack of improvement in Delaware's prisons continues to put corrections officers, inmates and the public at risk of unnecessary exposure to infectious disease and violence." Read more.
