ILLINOIS - Pontiac Mayor Scott McCoy said this morning during a press conference that the city of Pontiac and Livingston County are in a dire situation and that Pontiac Correctional Center will be closing. "The only way to stop this closing is for the governor to stop the closing or just re-open it. The governor has set this in motion to the point where if he sits back and does nothing the prison will close," said McCoy. "The correctional center will close by the first quarter of next year just as the governor planned for it to." |
