NEW YORK - A Civil Service exam for the position of state correction officer trainee will be held on Oct. 18. There are no minimum requirements for taking the written examination. However, at the time of appointment, applicants must have passed the written exam, be 21 or older, a U.S. citizen and a resident of New York, and possess a high school diploma or GED. Read more.
