MISSISSIPPI - David Scott, a special assistant attorney general, said Thursday that Michael David Graham was never a trusty at the Governor's Mansion. Graham was actually a minimum security inmate during his stay at the state-owned and operated private residence occupied by the governor and his family, Scott said. "The governor can call him a trusty if he wants to, but that's not how we have him classified," said Scott, who provides legal counsel to the state Department of Corrections in Jackson. "He was never given trusty status." A trusty is defined by The Merriam-Webster Dictionary as "a convict considered trustworthy and allowed special privileges." Read more.
