Justice Center re-entry Web tool
By
Published: 08/11/2008

The Council of State Governments Justice Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing public safety and strengthening communities. Issues it focuses on include mental illnesses, crime victims, racial disparities, justice reinvestment, and prisoner re-entry.

The Justice Center recently released an online tool to help make prison and jail reentry safer and more successful. It was developed with support from the Bureau of Justice Assistance, U.S. Department of Justice, so officials could understand the different assessment instruments used in nationwide corrections systems that gauge the risks and needs of those admitted to prison or jail.
