TEXAS - Winnsboro police and area law enforcement agencies continue to search for an escaped Mississippi prison inmate. Winnsboro police and area law enforcement agencies launched a massive manhunt for an escaped Mississippi prison inmate Saturday night. Captain Roderick Hashaway, of the Winnsboro Police Department, said a warrant was issued from Mississippi authorities for 35-year-old Larry Quinn Young, who escaped from a prison on June 13. He was serving time for conspiracy to commit burglary. A Winnsboro police officer made a traffic stop on Texas Highway 11 around 5:30 p.m. Saturday after observing a green 1999 Ford four-door vehicle driving 10 miles over the speed limit. Read more.
