| County joins victim notification network |

PENNSYLVANIA - At a press conference Tuesday afternoon Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw, Jr. announced that Clearfield County has joined Pennsylvania’s automated victim notification system to help victims of crime track the status of an offender housed in the Clearfield County jail. Known as PA SAVIN, the notification enhancement to local victim services will be part of a statewide, automated victim notification system that began its county-by-county implementation in August of 2007. "It allows victims to be proactive in protecting themselves," said Shaw. "The program is designed to save lives, to help victims." Read more.
