KENTUCKY - Tom Campbell, Louisville Metro Corrections director, yesterday announced his intent to retire at the end of September. Campbell, 58, said he intends to pursue other activities, including spending more time with his family. "You just know when it's time to retire," he said. He took over the agency's director in January 2005. He had originally been appointed by Mayor Jerry Abramson to be the interim director, but was quickly hired for the post. Read more.
