Reginald Peterson wanted a sub with everything on it. When his Subway sandwich fell short of expectations, he called police. In fact, Peterson called 911 three times in just a fifteen minute period to complain about bad service at the Arlington Subway on Atlantic Boulevard. During the series of calls with 911 operators, Peterson explains he ordered two sandwiches from the restaurant and when he got home, realized the orders were wrong. When he returned to the store for the right order, Peterson claims he was denied service. "She kept telling me she can't do this and she can't do that," Peterson says on the tapes, obtained by WOKV. "They locked the door on me and got the sandwiches I paid for in their store." "I didn't get what I paid for," Peterson cries in his second 911 call of the day. "She never stated she'd make my sandwich the way I wanted her to." In all three phone calls, operators tell Peterson to stay at the store and wait for a police officer to arrive. That advice did little to keep the 42-year-old patient during his 15 minute wait. When officers arrived at the restaurant, they tried to calm Peterson and explain why he can't call 911 to complain about food orders. Those attempts apparently failed and Peterson was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of making false 911 calls. Sheriff's Office records indicate he has been released from jail. |
