A Fayette County (Ga.) man who was serving three to six months at a state probation detention center escaped but was recaptured three hours later.
Larry L. Garner, 39, was on probation for aggravated assault when he jumped a fence during a work detail last Tuesday at a Department of Transportation maintenance shop, Corrections Department spokeswoman Scheree Lipscomb said.
Garner was found in woods about three miles away after a search.
