Ministry brings its message to Ohio prisons

OHIO - Fifteen men will be in and out of eight Ohio and West Virginia prisons, including the Southeastern Correctional Institute in Lancaster, in just five days. They'll be on the run, but not from the law. The Saints Prison Ministry, a nonprofit, nondenominational New Jersey organization, hopes to score more than runs. The Saints are pitching softballs and the Bible to inmates right on the playing fields.

"Studies show that the majority of inmates won't go to religious programming and church services, but they will go to the recreation yard," said Saints' Associate Director Frank Zeidler. Read more.
