The source said that a period of confinement had been put in place after staff conducted a search of that unit and found balaclavas and weapons. Corrections workers also say the front-line staff wasn't informed about a tip of a possible jailbreak that apparently went up the chain of command 10 days prior to the escape. Such information needs to be passed on to staff, even when there aren't details, said the source, speaking on the condition of anonymity. Read more.
