NEW YORK - A New York state Department of Corrections officer was killed on his way to work when his motorcycle struck a Trail Blazer in the town of North Collins. New York State Police said Theodore E. Kaczanowski, age and address unavailable, was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident happened Sunday about 11:20 p.m. The operator of the other vehicle, Amber L. Wagner, age unknown, of East Concord, N.Y., was taken by medical helicopter to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, police said. A hospital spokesman said Monday that she had been released. |
