| Statistics show downward trend in arrests |

OREGON - After the last Umatilla County Drug Court graduation on Aug. 18, Umatilla-Morrow County Community Corrections Program Manager Mike Graber put together statistics to show how drug court has affected participants, whether they graduated or not. For these statistics, Graber included all participants in drug court, including those who were terminated from the program. Graber said using statistics from only graduates, for example, may not be representative of the real situation. When looking just at those graduated from drug court, only three of the 12 graduates had re-offended. That's a 75 percent success rate. To begin with, Graber looked at arrest rates for participants prior to drug court, while they were in drug court and their progress after drug court. Read more.
