| La. state prison visits resume |

LOUISIANA - After being discontinued for the last two weekends because of Hurricane Gustav, the state Department of Corrections says visits at many state prisons will resume this weekend. However, visitation remains canceled this weekend at Dixon Correctional Institute in Jackson, Louisiana, because inmates evacuated from coastal Louisiana ahead of Hurricane Ike are being housed in the visiting area of that prison.
