INDIANA - After a lengthy joint session with the commissioners, the White County Council convened and took care of business Monday morning. With Dennis Cain absent, the council looked at some additional appropriations requested by Sheriff John Roberts. "It's that time of year again - I hate to come before the council but it's time for additional appropriations," Roberts said. He explained that the appropriations needed to be advertised before they were approved at the October session, but wished to address the council with them first. Three additional appropriations, $8,400 for kitchen and janitorial, $60,000 for utilities and $35,000 for garage and motors were needed to keep the county law enforcement going through the year.
