WEST VIRGINIA - An operation inside of the old Moundsville Penitentiary, the National Corrections and Law Enforcement Training and Technology Center, is closing. It’s a facility that West Virginia Congressman Alan Mollohan was instrumental in getting. It's most famous event, the Mock Prison Riot, is expected to continue. However, the huge mock disaster exercise will not. Marshall County Sheriff John Gruzinskas calls it one of the best training facilities in the nation. Gruzinskas said they never refused a request from him, paying everything from fees of guest speakers to making sure fresh coffee was there during breaks. Read more.
