FIJI - For Nacanieli Bakata and fellow inmates, being chosen to express themselves through art has been a new learning experience. Bakata and several other inmates were part of the Foundation for Rural Integrated Enterprises and Development's restorative justice program. The 23-year-old was once held in the block cell while serving his term but through FRIEND's restorative justice program he was able to be given a second chance. "This project gives me the opportunity to be able to work with other inmates and also a chance to change my ways," he said. Read more.
