| Attorney to join juvenile court bench |

LOUISIANA - A Shreveport attorney who focuses on family and children's law will take over a Caddo juvenile judge's post. Shonda Stone squeezed by Wilbert D. Pryor in the race for Caddo Juvenile Court Section 1C judge. Stone gained 51 percent of votes to attorney Pryor's 49 percent, according to complete but unofficial returns Saturday. "I'll try to assess the needs of the young people in the parish," said Stone, who will take office Jan. 1. "I want to eradicate or reduce juvenile crime. My whole thing has always been keeping families first." The 45-year-old holds an accounting degree from Southern University and a law degree from Southern University Law Center.
