| Workers strip-searched against orders |

MARYLAND - Three Maryland correctional officers at the Eastern Correctional Institution near Westover were strip-searched for contraband, contrary to a policy created after a similar episode at another prison nearly two months ago, the state prison agency said today. The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services said it is investigating and will take appropriate disciplinary action against those responsible. Such policy violations generally result in suspensions, spokesman Rick Binetti said. Female security workers at the medium-security prison strip-searched the three female officers Thursday based on intelligence they had gathered that day, Binetti said. No contraband was found. Sounds like another case of inmate information gone bad. Inmates that feed officers information to see how much impact they have, sounds like it worked in this case.
