| Parole office site might be relocated |

MICHIGAN - Local officials don't want a Department of Corrections parole office to relocate next to a child care center. Corrections spokesman Russ Marlan says the agency wants to move the office in Washtenaw County's Pittsfield Township to a new location in Ypsilanti Township because most of the 370 parolees it serves live in the Ypsilanti area. Mike Radzik, the township's police services administrator, says the proposed location would mean paroled sex offenders would walk within feet of the Children's Wonder Years Child Care Development Center's playground.
