| Neighbors, friends remember officer |

MARYLAND - Richard Mark Bremer was the Pied Piper of his Myersville neighborhood, his neighbors said. If he went outside to play with one of his children, it wasn't long before the yard was filled with kids from up and down the street. He was a child magnet who loved to spend his precious spare time with them. "He was a great man, and he was always great with all the neighborhood kids," next-door neighbor Joe Stann said of the Frederick Police Department officer killed in the line of duty early Thursday morning. "He was everybody's dad." Mary Stann, Joe's mother, said that was how she would remember her neighbor and friend. Read more.
