MALAYSIA - For prisoner Krish (not his real name), meeting his six children at a Deepavali luncheon organised by the Seremban prison left him almost speechless. The 43-year-old, who is serving a 12-year jail sentence for a drug offence, cried tears of joy when told he was one of those selected to attend the reunion luncheon here. "I'm lost for words. I'm just so happy that all of my children are here with me. I miss them so much," he said at the event. Krish said that up till then he had only been able to converse with them on a prison telephone. "I am very grateful to the prison officers who arranged this. It means a lot to be able to hold my children's hands while talking to them." Read more.
