TEXAS - About one-third of Texas prisons have now been taken off lockdown after a contraband sweep is finished. The search revealed more than 70 banned devices-- including a handful of cell phones among death row inmates. The lockdown began this month after death row inmate Richard Tabler was caught with a cell phone. Investigators say he was using the phone to make threatening calls to a state senator.
