| Coalition helps re-entry effort |

OHIO - You just got out of prison. You have a criminal record. You're trying to get your life back together, but you have no money, no place to live, no job, and no prospect of getting those things. Oh, and your family probably doesn't want to see you, either. It's a situation faced by thousands of ex-offenders who leave Ohio's prisons every year and try to re-enter society, said Dave Kontur, director of the Lucas County Family and Children First Council. Mr. Kontur and people from a number of social service, nonprofit, and faith groups are working to lower those barriers and reduce recidivism among ex-offenders through the Reentry Coalition of Northwest Ohio.
