LOUISIANA - A work force summit for north Louisiana will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Monroe Civic Center conference center in Monroe. Sponsors are the Louisiana Workforce Commission, the Louisiana Community and Technical College System and the state Economic Development, Public Safety and Corrections, Education and Social Services departments. The summit will focus primarily on work force issues in northwest, central and northeast Louisiana. More than 450 people attended a similar summit last week in Lafayette. Read more.
