| Fumes cause evacuation |

OREGON - Six residents at the Washington County Community Corrections Facility in Hillsboro were sickened Saturday morning by fumes from a commercial wood filler. All six clients were treated at area hospitals and returned to the facility later that afternoon. A contractor refinishing floors was using a product called Wood Dough Base, which contains toxic components, in an area separated from the resident populations by plastic tarps. Firefighters from Hillsboro Fire & Rescue arrived at 260 SW Adams Ave. at 11:24 a.m. and found four residents suffering from non-life threatening breathing issues outside the facility. Read more.
