| Volunteers sought for prison board |

OREGON - The Oregon Department of Corrections is seeking community members to join the Salem Area Prison Advisory Committee starting in January. The advisory committee provides recommendations to the DOC on correctional activities and practices at four Salem prisons — Oregon State Penitentiary, Oregon State Correctional Institution, Santiam Correctional Institution and Mill Creek Correctional Facility. The panel meets quarterly from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meeting dates for next year have not been determined. The corrections agency is seeking committee applicants who live or work in the Salem area.
