SOUTH CAROLINA - The Department of Corrections official in charge of medical care for the state’s 24,000 inmates worked for about a year after being indicted on two charges, including a felony fraud charge. Campbell, a member of director Jon Ozmint’s executive staff, was suspended Wednesday without pay, a prisons spokesman said.
