NORTH DAKOTA - A Valley City-area development group is buying back a 12-acre lot proposed for a scrapped regional jail project. The Valley Development Group had sold the land to a multi-county consortium for the proposed Sheyenne Valley Correctional Center. The project fell apart earlier this year. The development group's director, Jennifer Feist, says the group will buy back the land for $65,000. She says the money will be divided among the seven counties and the city of Valley City that formed the jail consortium. Feist says the 12-acre lot is part of the city's industrial park. |
