| Officers reach plea deal |

OHIO - In a multipurpose room on the fifth floor of the Lucas County jail, two sheriff's office employees watched Seth Bunke kick an inmate several times - so savagely that the inmate ended up in the hospital and Bunke in jail. Yesterday, those two employees each pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Toledo to a misdemeanor charge of witness tampering. Sheriff's Deputy Joel McConnell and Corrections Officer James Kotlarczyk admitted that they both authored inaccurate reports and, in doing so, prevented other witnesses from telling the truth.
