ARIZONA - A 24-bed Crawford County Detention Center expansion is more than $15,000 over budget, but that should not derail the project, County Judge John Hall said Monday. An e-mail from Judge Hall's office went out to quorum court members Monday telling them the bid was $15,746 over the $250,000 allotted from the county's drug forfeiture money. The e-mail asked for opinions from the justices of the peace on how to proceed, but Hall said he believes taking the money from the public safety fund will emerge as the most likely option. He said since there's $103,000 currently in the public safety fund, taking out the money as a "one-time thing" shouldn't be a problem. Read more.
