TENNESSEE - The Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) has made changes to its Business Development-Customer Relations section. Bart verHulst is now the vice president of the Local and Federal Customer Relations unit, and Brad Regens has been named vice president of State Customer Relations. Since their appointments, VerHulst and Regens have been overseeing both departments, in a stage of leadership transition announced during the summer. In July, Damon Hininger, former vice president of local and federal customer relations, was appointed CCA president and CEO. Former State Customer Relations vice president, Tony Grande, was named executive vice president and chief development officer. “Bart VerHulst and Brad Regens both have demonstrated capable leadership and a consistent commitment to the ethical engagement of our company values,” Grande says. “These qualities will serve our company well as we continue providing responsive, high-quality correctional services to partnering agencies on the local, state and federal levels, and adapt to meet the unique challenges facing corrections systems nationwide.” VerHulst, the former managing director of the CCA, joined the company in January 2007 with a background in government affairs. With his new job, VerHulst will control and develop existing prospective business at the federal and local levels. He also will communicate with and educate members of Congress, Congressional staff and federal government officials about CCA’s federal business issues. Regens joined CCA in November 2007, as senior director of State Customer Relations, and has more than nine years of experience in public policy and corrections. He also served several key positions for the Arizona Joint Legislative Budget Committee. John Malloy also joins CCA as senior director of customer relations. Malloy will oversee magazine customer relations in Arizona, California, Oklahoma, and Nevada. He has six years experience in the private and public sector, having worked in a variety of positions in finance and budgeting. Malloy was most recently an analyst for Stone and Youngberg in Phoenix, Arizona. He was also on the leadership team for the Arizona legislative budget office. “As we go forward into new roles and responsibilities, we are confident that we have assembled a team of highly capable individuals who will put forth the greatest effort in managing current and future business development endeavors,” says Grande. |
