| Prisons want more to fight illegal phones |

TEXAS - Texas prison administrators said Wednesday they were more than doubling their upcoming budget request to beef up security measures to keep illegal cell phones and other contraband out of state prisons and wanted $30 million of it immediately to combat the problem now. What folks have got to understand is people on the other side of the fence have 24 hours a day to think about how they want to play games with us," Texas Board of Criminal Justice Chairman Oliver Bell said at a board meeting where $66 million in enhanced security steps were disclosed.
