GEORGIA - A state prison in south Georgia is closing. The Georgia Department of Corrections has announced it will shutter the 250-bed Milan State Prison in Helena on Friday. The inmates will be transferred to other prisons throughout the state. The 55 workers at the prison will be offered other jobs in the department.
