| Iowa warden dies |

IOWA - Lowell Brandt, the warden of the Iowa Medical and Classification Center in Oakdale, has died of an apparent heart attack. Lowell Brandt, of Iowa City, died on Wednesday at his home. He was 58. Lensing's Oak Hill Funeral Services in Coralville says a memorial service will be on Saturday in Iowa City. Brandt became warden of the state prison in 2004. He worked for the Iowa Department of Corrections for more than 35 years. |
