Two prisoners at the Ross Correctional Institution in Chillicothe, Ohio, are being investigated for abusing a training dog at the prison.
The "Columbus Dispatch" reports the two inmates are accused of sexually assaulting a three year old Labrador Retriever, which was part of a program where inmates train the dogs for use by people with special needs.
It's the first reported case of abuse of a dog in the decade old program, which is being conducted in a number of the state's prisons. The dog is now under the care of a veterinarian.
