| Judge: Sentencing options 'inadequate' |

AUSTRALIA - A Tasmanian Supreme Court judge has described the state's range of sentencing options as inadequate. Justice Shan Tennant spoke at a Women in Corrections Conference in Hobart today about female offenders. She told about 200 delegates to the national forum she agreed with Australian anti-prison advocate and keynote speaker, Debbie Kilroy, that incarceration is not always the answer.
