| Corrections raises $34,800 for United Way |

CANADA - Employees, unions and managers with Correctional Service Canada in the Fraser Valley have managed to raise $34,800 - more than a $10,000 increase from last year - as part of their 2008 Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign co-ordinated by the United Way of the Fraser Valley. "I am so proud to be working with such an outstanding group of individuals, who not only give their all everyday at work, but go that extra step and . . . show their faith in the communities in which we work and live," said Judy Croft, CSC assistant deputy commissioner of corporate services. "In these times of uncertain global economics, we are so pleased to see the Corrections Canada team . . . step up and show compassion for those less fortunate in their community," said Wayne Green, executive director for the United Way of the Fraser Valley.
