KANSAS - The newest budget cuts on the way for the state of Kansas will affect another jail facility in Labette County. The Department of Corrections announced Wednesday it will terminate its contract for the Labette Correctional Conservation Camp in Oswego, commonly reffered to as a "boot camp." The program officially ends on July 1, 2009. In November, the DOC announced it would end the same program in Labette County for women on January 1, 2009.
