ILLINOIS - The courthouse in McLean County will undergo $37,000 worth of safety and security upgrades. McLean County Sheriff Mike Emery decided to use the money to install a glass wall across the courthouse lobby and relocate screening devices to give officers a better view of building entrances and exits. The changes also let more people wait inside the courthouse to be checked by security, instead of outside along the street. Authorities say up to 2,000 people enter the courthouse every day. The changes were made after a U.S. Marshal's Service assessment. |
