The Messages Project is focused on maintaining and re-building the connection between imprisoned parents and their children. As a part of the Norfolk, Virginia, freelance film and video production company Women in Transition, The Messages Project creates videotapes from incarcerated parents and mails them to their children and families, often with a book or poems and messages that might have been read on the tape.
