A county inmate escaped the minimum-security Lancaster Correctional Facility in Nebraska and remained free last week.
Joseph Blythe, 39, didn't show up for a 5 p.m. head count at the building at 4420 N.W. 41st St., said Mike Thurber, director of county corrections.
Blythe had been present at a 3 p.m. head count, Thurber said.
Blythe was serving a 60-day sentence for trespassing and disturbing the peace.
He had been at the work-release center two days, Thurber said.
Blythe may have scaled the 12-foot fence around the yard, Thurber said, but that isn't certain.
The center houses men and women sentenced to county jail. They can complete their sentences while keeping their jobs.
The building has 136 beds but is not full, Thurber said.
