| County expands peer support team |

PENNSYLVANIA - The Main Link of Bradford County is looking to create a better community integration for former correctional facility inmates who experience mental health difficulties through the expansion of its Forensic Peer Support Team to a new service — “Work Release for Recovery.” D.J. Rees of The Main Link presented this program expansion to the Bradford County Prison Board Thursday to highlight how the program could reduce recidivism among this population. Rees explained that “Work Release for Recovery” isn’t expected to cost anymore than The Main Link’s current service, since it’s only an expansion of the Forensic Peer Support Team. However, Rees couldn’t promise anything. In 2008, 39 individuals utilized The Main Link Forensic Peer Support Program, with 15 carrying over from the previous year. Read more.
