| Arrest in fatal stabbings |

Stanislaus County sheriff's deputies arrested a 38-year-old man Monday on suspicion of fatally stabbing three people and injuring a fourth inside a Riverbank residence Sunday. Jesse Frost, 38, was being held at Stanislaus County Jail on suspicion of three counts of murder and one count of attempted murder, authorities said. Riverbank is 8 miles northeast of Modesto. The victims included two men and two women. The county coroner's office said two of the slain victims were identified as Judy Niemi, 37, and Donna Norton, 62. The third victim was identified only as a 38-year-old man. The survivor of the attack, an 18-year-old man who was not publicly identified, was said to be in stable condition. The killings were discovered Sunday around 4 p.m. following reports of a disturbance in the 6000 block of Arcaro Drive, deputies said. Read more.
