Pastor wants communion wine OK'd for inmates |

You can have the body of Christ in prison -- just not the blood. A West Bend pastor wants to change that, saying a state law that prohibits giving alcoholic beverages to inmates prevents him from communing with church members who are incarcerated. The Rev. Joseph Fisher, pastor of Pilgrim Evangelical Lutheran Church, said his faith precludes substituting grape juice for wine during prison communions, as other ministers and priests do. |
