| Six of eight inmates recaptured |

Six of the eight escaped Marion County inmates have been caught, according to Marion County Sheriff Berkley Hall. Toney T. Clark, 21, was caught about 10:30 a.m. in the Improve community, about 12 miles north of Columbia. Brandon Silas, 28, and John David Smith Jr., 18., also were apprehended in that area about 2 p.m. Three others – Mickah Lott, 28; David L. Johnson Jr., 23; and Ricky Chadwick Roberts, 18, were caught about 2:45 p.m. in Arkansas, just south of Little Rock, Hall said. Advertisement Quantcast Eric Ball, 19, and Derrick Rainey, 21, remain at large, he said. The eight escaped between 3 and 4 a.m. today by chiseling through a wall in Marion-Walthall Correctional Facility. The escape was discovered at 5:40 a.m. today during a routine head count. Marion County Sheriff’s Department was assisted in the search by various law enforcement agencies, including Mississippi Highway Patrol, Mississippi Department of Corrections, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, and Arkansas and Louisiana authorities.
