Terry Lee Azevedo, whose last known address was 35 Town Way, Little Compton, owes $69,000 and was number three on the Massachusetts Department of Revenue’s 10 Most Wanted poster campaign, which features some of the state’s worst child-support offenders. He faces charges of marijuana possession and two counts of unlawful appropriation for allegedly taking $78,500 from homeowners in Cumberland and Coventry in 2005 for work that he allegedly did not do, according to Michael J. Healey, spokesman for the office of the attorney general. Healey said Azevedo failed to appear at a pretrail hearing in Superior Court in November 2006 for a charge of unlawful appropriation and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Yesterday, Azevedo pleaded guilty to the bail violation in Providence Superior Court and was sentenced to 90 days at the ACI. He is scheduled for a pretrial hearing for the three charges April 15, according to Healey. Read more. If link has expired, check the website of the article's original news source. |
